“GETTING FIT”
What does that even mean? You see so many commercials and articles about ‘get fit’, ‘one weird trick to lose weight’, ‘healthy weight’, on and on - and on. It seems like such a broad term. How can we even define it.
There really is a simple answer that is 100% true – we can’t – not for everyone in the same terms. There are many general definitions for what is ‘healthy’ or ‘fit’ and we can use them as a rule of thumb, sure, but not all of them are going to apply.
I’ll give you an example of one of the generalities that doesn’t apply to me – my normal body temperature is between 97.8-98.0. It doesn’t mean I’m sick or have a problem – it is just how I am made. You have differences no matter how slight from the ‘norm’.
Those differences influence what fitness means for you. Your goals in life and the things you like to do also influence your definition of fitness. You are an individual. Your personal fitness is going to be unique to you and what helps you feel your best is going to be unique to you, as well. There is no one ‘diet’ for everyone and there is no magic workout or pill. It takes help to figure it out and work to make it stick.
Like I said yesterday – I want to be that help. There are plenty of easy ways to contact me and work out how to do that. You can leave a comment here.
